Aadhar-PAN linking; huge crowds at processing centers in Bengaluru

Prime News, Karnataka, Bengaluru, July 1:- As the linking of UID with PAN made mandatory, Aadhar centres across Bengaluru crowded with people seeking to update the details in the Aadhar cards.

The integration request from citizens will be rejected by Income Tax department if there is a mismatch between the Aadhar card details and Permanent Account Numbers details.

Another reason is that for all traders and business people Unique Identification Number is mandatory for registering their trade or business.

Pronab Mohanty, deputy director general, UIDAI said, with the centre and state governments made it mandatory to line Aadhar cards to various schemes, the people eager to update their Aadhar card details.

New enrolment for Aadhar cards has been temporarily stopped at most of the centres to accommodate the Aadhar updating, scores of people complained of not been able to enrol for new Aadhar cards.

Some of the centres obliged to do both updating and new enrolment, one employee said, it is very difficult to process all the requests, and we are directing the people to visit next day.
