After 72 hours, both actors’ bodies recovered

Three days after two actors Uday Raghav and Anil drowned in the Thippagondanahalli Lake while shooting for a climax scene of the Kannada film ‘Mastigudi’, the search team has finally recovered the bodies of the two victims.

On Wednesday evening, the body of Uday, was found floating in the water, very close to the location where the victim had jumped off from the chopper.

The search team involving swimming experts, officials of NDRF police and fire brigade were carrying out the operations in the reservoir from past three days. With the help of latest technology and the scuba divers, the search team started the operation on Wednesday and managed to find the body of actor Uday Raghav which was in a decomposed state around 03:30 pm.

There was a high drama around the reservoir as soon as the body was brought to the banks and questions rose among the family members that the deceased body was that of Uday or Anil. The doctors conducted the autopsy of the declassed body on the spot and found that it was Uday’s body. Later the body was taken to his house near K R Road and was kept for public display.

In the early hours of Thursday morning, the team managed to find the body of Anil, around 50meters away from the spot of his jump. The last rites of Uday and Anil are expected to be performed today and sources said that bodies would be cremated at Banashankari crematorium.
