“Media are telecasting the visuals of cruelty, and horrifying visuals which make our mood unpleasant. To overcome the gloomy mindset, such creative art shows should be held more often,” said the former president of state women’s commission Manjula Manasa.
She was speaking after inaugurating the exhibition of paintings of Shankaracharya done by Jamunarani Mirle on Sunday at Mysuru art gallery on Ramanuja road.
“Along with the change in technology, our lifestyle went on changing. We are losing ourselves to the western culture. We spend most of our time in social media and not giving importance to art. Such exhibitions encourage the artists to be more creative,” she added.
CEO of Akashavani Shivakumar and others were present.
