Karnataka and Goa state Congress in charge Digvijay Singh is removed from the post. The order of his removal was given by the Congress President Sonia Gandhi.

Even though Congress won highest seats in Goa assembly elections, Congress failed to form a government. On its basis he has been removed from Goa Congress in charge.
Digvijay Singh is the reason behind BJP forming government in Goa, alleged Goa Pradesh Congress Committee Luizino Falario. “Congress had all the chances of forming government in Goa. We hadthe numbers to prove majority. I had also prepared a letter of request to give to the governor. But Digvijay told us to wait till the Governor’s call. By that time BJP formed the government,” he said.
Digvijay Singh had alleged that Manohar Parrikkar had cheated the people of Goa. In response to it, Parrikar tweeted saying thanks to Digvijay’s delay which enabled BJP to form the government.
Due to this and complaints against him from Karnataka Congress, Sonia Gandhi ordered for his removal.
