Engineering students’ form holds technical talk

The Department of Telecommunication Engineering of GSSS, Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (GSSSIETW), jointly organised a series of technical talks under Forum of Engineering Students of Telecommunication (FEST) in association with IETE Mysuru centre recently.

The technical talk on ‘Non-volatile Memory Express (NVMe) New Era in Data Storage’ was conducted by Veerabhadregowda, Verification Specialist, Smart IOPS, Bengaluru. The talk was carried out on a new era in data storage (Non-volatile Memory Express) and the session continued with introduction about evaluation of wireless technologies.

The talk also included the chronology between geocentric to cloud centric models and also about how the evaluation of wireless communication been done from 1G to 5G. It was also discussed about the various opportunities in the Telecommunication Engineering fields.

The technical talk on ‘Android Application with Cloud Storage’ was conducted by Vishwanatha, Consultant/Freelancer, ITAS Innovations Pvt. Ltd, Bengaluru. In his talk, he briefed about how to develop an application for android and utilize cloud for android applications with some case studies.

He also discussed about the significance of Linux and Java to develop an application. He also briefed about the importance of innovations and entrepreneurship by giving some real examples.
