Mysuru, July 3:- Confederation of Farmers’ Association and Sugarcane Growers’ Association on Monday staged a protest in the city, demanding waiver of loans of farmers in all banks .
The farmers who staged protest in front of the taluk office, said that waiving off loans up to Rs 50,000 has not been so helpful. “Farmers are struggling due to consecutive drought situation. SIP price should be fixed for sugarcane, they urged. If the government doesn’t fulfill our demands, the agitation will be intensified from July 9,” the protesting farmers threatened.
Varakudu Krishnegowda and hundreds of farmers participated in the protest.
