Folk art needs modern touch, says Dr Yatindra Siddaramaiah

Mysuru, May 18:- “Everything has become technological. The folk arts should also be given technological touch to preserve our arts and culture,” said Dr Yatindra Siddaramaiah, president of housing scheme of Varuna constituency.

He was speaking after inaugurating the folk arts center of Varuna constituency on Wednesday.

“The art and culture should be preserved for the generations to come, which are struggling at the hands of modernisation. Folk arts should be developed with good marketing strategy to reach it to the youths,” he added.

Former Rangayana director H Janardhan (Janni), Dr S Balaji, President of Kannada Janapada Parishat Kythanahalli Prakash, Dr Kanakatara and others were present.
