The habit of writing and involvement in literature helps in reducing mental distress, said lyricist and writer Jayanth Kaikini.
He was addressing at the inauguration of Film lyrics forum at MMC auditorium in the city on Friday. He said, “I believe that hospitals are also a kind of spiritual centres where a person is treated. On the same lines, even literature treats a person unanimously and solves the problem. A professional course including B A, MBBS and other degrees help an individual to pass in examination but literature helps an individual to pass in the life examination.”
“There are great litterateurs in the history of Kannada literature that includes Kuvempu, Da Ra Bendre, Masti and many others. Their literary works and books inspire a lot and helps a person to understand the lesson of life,” he added.
Cheluvamba Hospital Superintendent Dr Radhamani, Convenor Dr C Ravindranath, Dileep Navilehal and others were present.
