Leader of the Opposition in Karnataka Legislative Assembly Jagadish Shettar said he would speak to Goa chief minister designate Manohar Parrikar on resolving the Mahadayi water sharing dispute through negotiations.
Speaking to media persons on Monday, he said that the state government could achieve results on the issue if it constantly engages with the new government in Goa.
We are confident that a favourable atmosphere for the Kalasa-Banduri project would be created under the Parrikar government. Through negotiations the water dispute can be solved, Shettar added. -NGB
