Pollution Control Board raids dyeing units

The officials of Pollution Control Board, who got into action at last after the death of a teenager at Shadhanahalli, raided several dyeing units where the clothes are applied chemicals and seized clothes up to 4 tons.

Pollution rate is increasing in the premises of Mysuru day by day. It is learnt that more than 25 illegal dyeing units are operating in the district. A colouring plant is operating in Kalalavadi village. They have installed 4 machines to apply chemicals to clothes.

The team of Pollution Control Board led by Raghu Ram raided the unit on Wednesday morning and seized the clothes and machines. The unit is said to have situated in the site belonging to Marigowda of Kalalavadi. -KS
