Mysuru city police have arrested two habitual offenders for house burglary and have recovered gold ornaments worth Rs 64,000 from their possession.
According to a press release by the City Police commissioner’s office, Saraswathipuram police have arrested Ravi, of Lakkur village in Gundlupet taluk, and Manikanta, a resident of K H B Colony in Hootagalli, Mysuru city.
Based on a tip-off, the police took Ravi into custody near Vijaya Bank Circle in the city. During interrogation, the suspect admitted that he had burgled several houses in Bogadi, Sharadadevi Nagar and Janata Nagar in the city. He also confessed to have committed the crime in connivance with one Manikanta and another person.
With the arrest of the offenders, as many as four house burglary cases have been solved under Saraswathipuram police limits alone.
