100 new cases take tally to 2,282 in Karnataka

Prime News, Karnataka, Health, Disease, Bengaluru, May 26:- The state confirmed 100 new cases on Tuesday even as the total tally of positive coronavirus touched 2282, according to the latest reports. Good news is that the state did not report any fatalities today.

The returnees from other states are posing a huge challenge to Karnataka with regard to tackling coronavirus pandemic. Most of the positive cases that were reported in the last couple of days are all returnees from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Delhi.

District-wise break-up: Chitradurga (20), Yadgir (14), Belagavi and Hassan (13 each), Davanagere (11), Bidar (10), Vijayapura (5), Dakshina Kannada and Udupi (3), Kolar and Bengaluru Urban (2 each), Bagalkote, Koppal, Ballari and Chickaballapur (1 each). (MR, Inputs: Agencies)
