10th graduation day of JSS Women’s College held

Mysuru, December 04:- A life with great values will set a new milestone in the world, said Union Minister of state for Skill Development Ananth Kumar Hegde. He was addressing at the 10th graduation day of the JSS Women’s College in the city on Monday.

Delivering the graduation day address, Hegde said, “As students, all these days, you have spent a memorable and joyful days but now it’s time to accept the grim realities in the society. Nowadays, we have  a system where students are been seen as hard disks and only based on the Intelligent Quotient (IQ), an individual can build his career. But I feel IQ is just a small contribution for us to survive and get marks, what we really need is to know how to interact with the society and learn how to deal with them. Students must integrate the essence of value in them and with great value and intelligence anyone can win the world.”

“We must get inspired and keep Einstein, Newton has our role models and also try to grow above them and contribute essentially for the welfare of the society,” he added.

“The extent of knowledge does not go as long as we do not know the outer world. Before I assumed charge as the Skill Development Minister, I did not have a special knowledge about the skill development. We must know, observe and understand the outer world to gain knowledge,” he added.

Suttur Mutt pontiff Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamy, JSS Executive Director Dr C G Betsurmath and others were present. -(GK,KK)
