1,164 migrant labourers leave for Bihar in Shramik special train

Mysuru, May 25:- 1,164 migrant labourers left for their home state Bihar from Mysuru Railway Station in Shramik special train on Sunday (May 24).

Each train ticket fare is Rs 905 per passenger. The state government has funded the expenses of the passengers travelling by train. 700 labourers from Mysuru district, 60 from Kodagu district, 40 from Chamarajanagar district and 370 from Mandya district left for Bihar. The train will reach Purniya in Bihar on Tuesday at 1.10 pm.

Rotary Club distributed food and drinking water to the passengers. IRCTC will also provide food and water to passengers. All the passengers underwent medical check-up before boarding the train. Face masks for the passengers is mandatory. Water, soap and sanitisers are being provided in all coaches of the train. (KS, NGB)
