Mysuru, December 17:- The 10th edition of Tour of Nilgiris (TfN), the annual tour of RideACycle Foundation, successfully concluded at Mysuru on Sunday with cyclists pedaling 171 kms from Ooty through Pykara, Gudalur, Mudumalai, Bandipur, Gundlupet and reached Hotel Rio Meridian in Mysuru.

The grand tour with a contingent of 128 cyclists had pedaled 1000+ kms across Karnataka, Kerala and Tamilnadu, between December 10th and 17th, 2017. Starting from Bengaluru the cyclists pedaled through Mysuru, Madikeri, Sultan Bathery, Udhagamandalam (Ooty), Kodanad, Kothagiri, Manjoor and finished at Mysuru.

On successfully completing the grand tour, Satish Belawadi, Tour Director, TfN 2017, said, “We are delighted to complete the 10th edition of the annual event on a very satisfying, wonderful and safe note with the weather gods too holding up brilliantly, as if to wish us on our 10th anniversary. We are eagerly looking forward to plan our next edition and offer cyclists a brand new experience.”

While on one end, the tour offered a great cycling tourism opportunity across some of the pristine territory which varied across each stage of the tour, at the other end mighty mountains – especially the Kalhatti Ghat – tested the endurance of riders. Riders had come to this tour with the determination to conquer Kalhatti Ghat and almost 80% of the riders successfully climbed it.
