Mysuru, August 27:- Mysuru City Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths have cracked several bike-lifting cases by arresting duo in the city recently.
CCB Police officials arrested Dinesh Kumar R alias Dinesh alias Dini, a resident of SC Colony in Saragaru Taluk here and Sharath G R alias Chinnu, a resident of K Gowdakere in Mandya District.
The CCB sleuths arrested the duo near Andolana Circle in the city when they were riding a Royal Enfield motorcycle without a number plate.
According to police officials, many Royal Enfield bikes in the city were lifted and a huge pressure was mounted on the police over the thefts. As per the directions from DCP (Crime and Traffic) Dr Vikram V Amathe, the CCB Police launched a special operation and arrested them near Andolana Circle near Ramakrishnanagar.
The accused duo along with another culprit, a native of Ramanagara had lifted more than 17 bikes including 10 Royal Enfield bikes, two Honda Activa and five Honda Dio scooters worth Rs 15,00,000.
With this arrest, a total of seven bike theft cases in Mysuru city and 10 theft cases in other districts were cracked.
The accused were arrested in a search operation led by CCB ACP B R Lingappa, CCB Inspector Prasannakumar, ASI Raju, Chandre Gowda, staffs Nagesh, Arun Kumar, Purushotham, Asgar Khan, Ramaswamy, Chikkanna, Yakub Sharif, Ganesh M R, Lakshikanth, Shivaraju, Srinivasprasad, Raghu, Niranjan, Prakash, Rajendra, Puneeth, Anand, Shyamsundar, Manju, Madhu, Narasingarao, Nagaraju, Chamundamma, Dhananjay, Srinivas, Shivakumar and others.
Commissioner of Police Dr A Subramanyeshwara Rao has appreciated the police team. -KK
