18 new Covid-19 cases in Mysuru district; tally active cases at 57

Mysuru, June 22:- Eighteen new coronavirus cases surfaced in Mysuru district on Sunday (June 21). People are scared as the number of Covid-19 cases have been increasing rapidly.

Three KSRP personnel who returned from Bengaluru tested positive for coronavirus. The travel history of three other people who also tested positive for coronavirus is unknown. Coronavirus cases were reported from 3 villages and 6 layouts in Mysuru district. Cases were reported from SKP Agrahara and Ankanahalli in T Narasipura taluk, Hura village in Nanjangud taluk, BEML Layout in Hinakal, Belavatha village, Gokulam 3rd Stage, Krishna Vilasa Road in Devaraja Mohalla, Home Style apartment at VV Mohalla here and Rammanahalli village.

All these areas have been declared as containment zones. People are not allowed to enter and exit from these areas. The total number of cases in Mysuru has risen to 169. 112 patients have recovered and discharged. Now the district has 57 active cases. (KS, NGB)
