Mysuru, October 21:-University of Mysore is conducting two-day seminar on “Religion, culture and the spiritual role of patriotism in Swami Vivekananda’s thought” on October 23 and 24 at Educational Multimedia Research Centre (EMMRC), Manasagangothri, here.
Swami Vijayananada Saraswathi Maharaj, president, Sri Ramakrishma Vivekananda Ashrama, Dharwad, will inaugurate the programme.
Prof G S Mahadeva, Meenabandhu Samsthe, Chamarajanagar and retired guest lecturer, Swami Vivekananda’s Peetha, UoM, will preside over the function.
Prof Y Shrikanth will be the chief guest.
The valedictory session will be held on October 24 at the venue at 4 pm. Prof K Anantharamu, retired Kannada lecturer, UoM, will deliver the valedictory address.
Swami Shivakanthanandaji Maharaj, correspondent, Sri Ramakrishna, Ethical, Spiritual Educational Institute, Mysuru, will preside over the function.
Dr Yallambalase Ananthanarayana, lecturer and head of the Department of Civil Engineering and Savithri Phule, Pune University, will be the chief guests.
Prof V N Sheshagiri, guest lecturer, Swami Vivekananada Peetha, Mysuru; Dr M Daniel, assistant professor, Dr S Venkatesh, president and seminar co-ordinator will grace the occasion. (NAV)
