Mysuru, June 10:- The case of 50 missing live bullets of .303 rifle from T Narasipura Police Station has a new twist. The 20 missing bullets were found in Kapila river near Nanjangud bridge on Tuesday.
Prime accused in the case, head constable Krishnegowda has already returned 30 bullets and told that he had thrown remaining 20 bullets in the river.
The investigation team led by ASP P V Sneha searched for the bullets in the river on Tuesday for more than 2 hours in the presence of accused Krishnegowda and succeeded in tracing the missing bullets.
The reason behind him throwing the bullets in the river is not yet known. Sneha said that it can be revealed only after complete investigation.
DSP Prabhakar Rao Shinde, Umesh, CPI Rajashekara and PSI Sathish were present during the search operation. (MR/KS)
