2019 Lok Sabha polls won’t be easy for BJP: CM Kumaraswamy

Mysuru, January 20:- “I have seen the huge people’s support for West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at the national convention held at Kolkata,” said Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy.

He was speaking to media persons at Mandakalli Airport in the city on Saturday.

“The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government at the Centre thinks that there is no alternate for them. The Janata Dal (Secular)-Congress coalition government in Karnataka and the convention of Opposition parties in Kolkata have proved them wrong. Congress and JD(S) are preparing to face the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) together in 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Not only in Karnataka, parties against BJP are uniting everywhere. The Lok Sabha election will not be easy for BJP,” he added.

“It is not right for the MLAs to stay at resorts during the drought situation prevailing in the state. BJP is trying to mislead the MLAs, which made the Congress to move their legislators to the resort. There is no need to search for special reasons behind it. BJP leaders have been trying to weaken the state government. We have not tried to hijack any MLAs. JD(S) MLAs don’t have to go to any resort. I am preparing for the state budget. May Goddess Chamundeshwari give ‘goodwill’ to the BJP leaders,” he added. (KS, NGB)
