‘Shraddhanjali’ vehicle with 24/7 service was handed over to the KR Hospital administration, on Friday.
PWD and District in-charge Minister Dr H C Mahadevappa handed over the keys of ‘Shraddhanjali’ vehicle to KR Hospital superintendent Dr Krishnamurthy.
“The initiation is taken up by the state government to pay respect to the dead as there are many issues cropping up related to transporting dead body due to unavailability of vehicle/ambulance and also most of the people cannot afford private vehicle. Shraddhanjali vehicles will be provided to every district centred hospitals as directed by the chief minister,” said Dr Mahadevappa.
“Shraddhanjali vehicle will be available to the needy just as the 108 ambulance,” he added.
Mysuru deputy commissioner D Randeep and K R Hospital authorities were present.
