The habit of reading in young people is decreasing with each passing generation, said sessions court judge S Sudendranath.
He was addressing the Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations held by Lawyers Association at the court premises, Mysuru, recently. Sudendranath said that the habit of reading should be cultivated by people. Reading more literature will keep Kannada alive. He also brought out instances where Kannada words were used in Greek plays. He called upon every individual to feel proud of Kannada language which was widely popularised by Kadambas and Vijayanagara rulers.
Meanwhile, Justice Nalini, Preethi Malavalli, Gagan, Somashekhar were felicitated for their remarkable achievements. Prof C Naganna and others were present.
