All eyes on Mayoral election tomorrow

Ahead of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor election scheduled tomorrow, hectic parleys have already begun. Parties are keeping their flock in resorts just to ensure nothing expected happens ahead of the big day.

According to close sources, JD(S) corporators are staying together at a private resort and the resort politics has picked up pace for the race of Mysuru Mayor and Deputy Mayor.

On the other hand, both the BJP and the Congress party ready to play their cards of alliance with the JD(S) and share power in the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC). BJP which was sharing power with JD(S) since few years is hopeful to continue its coalition with the JD(S). Congress too is trying hard to strike a deal and share the power with JD(S).

MCC has 65 council members. Congress has 20, JD(S) has 19 and the BJP has 13. SDPI has 2, KJP has 1 and there are 8 independent candidates.
