Taluk Panchayat Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr Premkumar has set March 31 deadline to complete all pending developmental projects in the taluk by utilising the government funds released during 2016-17.
Speaking at the KDP progress review meeting held at TP Hall, he said Deputy Commissioners of all the districts and ZP CEOs will attend a meeting chaired by the Chief Minister to assess the various developmental projects and the departments should submit their progress reports. “The developmental works undertaken by various departments must be completed without compromising on quality of work.”
Dr Premkumar has urged the officials to complete all pending works and to interact with GP nodal officers for speedier construction of toilets and submit reports on a daily basis.
Nanjundaiah, who presided over the meeting, said the houses for junior health assistants have been constructed for the benefit of the people. “Lack of facilities in these houses had inevitably forced the poor patients to visit hospitals in city for treatment for minor ailments. The taluk health officer has also been asked to advice the nurses to adhere to the rules accordingly.”
The meeting also decided to provide power supply within a month to the borewells constructed under the Gangakalyana scheme and completely utilize the government allocated funds for various works.
TP vice president Padmavathi Siddaraju, social justice standing committee chairman Venkatesh, BEO Mallikarjun and other taluk officers were present.
