The Pune leg established two clear front-runners of the league in the form of Pune Pride and Diler Delhi who have been on an unbeaten run. The matches which are being contested in two zones, Zone A and Zone B, have seen Pune emerge as the clear leaders in Zone A.

The other teams in the group have had a mixed set of results as Pondicherry Predators and Bangalore Rhinos both sit on two wins each and Haryana have just one win in their kitty. Delhi, on the other hand, has led Zone B with four wins and one draw, garnering nine points from their five matches. Chennai Challengers stand in the second position in their zone.

The only team from Karnataka, Bangalore Rhinos will be looking to make amends for the matches they lost in Pune and gain momentum with the local crowd backing the team.

Commenting before the start of the Mysuru leg, Bangalore Rhinos captain, Vipin Malik said, “All our matches have been really close and even if we have lost in three matches we haven’t lost them by exponential score lines. We have had some teething issues, but we are for sure sorting them out. We want to make sure that we start the Mysuru leg on a positive note as we play Haryana Heros in our first match. Having beaten them already we have a strong belief that we can repeat the same result here as well. Once we catch momentum we are pretty sure we can make it to the semi-finals.”

The first day of the leg will see three matches being played. Zone A toppers Pune Pride will be up against the Pondicherry Predators; in another Zone A encounter, Bangalore will face Haryana and in the last match of the day in Zone B, Diler Delhi will look to continue their successful run as they face Telugu Bulls.
