3-day ban on entry to Chamundi Hills

Mysuru, September 16:- Beginning today (September 16), entry to the famous Chamundi Hills has been banned for three days. With the spiralling coronavirus cases, the district administration has decided to ban the public entry. In this backdrop, a posse of police has been stationed at the entrance to the Chamundi Hills.

In fact, the road that leads to the hill has been barricaded. The devotees are being sent back by the cops.

In view of Mahalaya Amavasya tomorrow (September 17), more devotees are expected and hence, the decision. (MR/KS)
