3-day Music concert at Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha in Mysuru from Jan 3

Mysuru, January 2:- A three-day music concert and prize distribution programme will be held at Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha in city at Sangeetha Kalanidhi K Vasudevacharya Bhavana, opposite Tulsidas Hospital on Jhansi Lakshmi Bai Road at Lakshmipuram here from January 3-5.

On January 3, Parur M S Gopalakrishnan Memorial Music programme will be held at 5.30 pm. Guruvandana to Parur Parampare will be held by Vidwan H K Narasimha Murthy and his students of Sangeetha School of Music.

On January 4, Rukmini Ammal and Sri Ramaswamy Iyengar Memorial Music Concert will be held at 6 pm.

Carnatic Classical Vocal will be performed by Vid Yoga Advaitha Veturi,  Vidu C V Shruthi on violin, Vid Malladi Aravind on mridanga and Vid Vikram Bharadwaj on ghatam. The music concert is sponsored by Madhuri Thathachari and Dr R Srinivasan in memory of their parents.

On January 5, the 64th anniversary and award function in memory of Prof Dr A K Gopalarajan will be held at 5.30 pm. “Nadabrahma” title to Vidwan T A S Mani and “Nadakishora” title to Vidwan Yoga Advaitha Veturi will be conferred. Adakishorothsava-2019 prize distribution also will be held at the same venue.

Tala Tarangini by Vidwan T A S Mani and Group, Vid Bellary M Raghavendra will perform vocal. He will be accompanied by Vid M Keshava on violin, Vid T A S Mani on mridanga and Vid G Omkar Rao on ghata, Vid Sunad Anoor will play khanjira; Vid Bhaskar on tavil; Vid S Sudarshan on dholak; Vid M Gururaj on morsing and Vid T N Ramesh on kunnakkol.

The endowment programme is sponsored by fraternity of doctors and well=-wishers in memory of Dr A K Gopalarajan. (NAV)
