3 house burglars nabbed; gold worth Rs 12 lakh recovered

Mysuru, October 19:- VV Puram Police have nabbed three house burglars in two separate theft incidents and recovered gold ornaments worth Rs 12 lakh from them.

A resident of Gokulam 3rd stage, Prabhu had complained that someone had entered his house using a duplicate key and stole  Rs 85,000 in cash, 4-gram earrings, 25-gram necklace and 40-gram gold mangalsutra.

The police took action according to the complaint and arrested Rehan alias Harish alias Regan in connection with the theft. The police have recovered 69-gram gold worth Rs 3 lakh and Rs 48,000 in cash.

In another incident, police have arrested J Pavan and J Praveen who had stolen 360-gram gold worth Rs 8 lakh from a house in Brindavan Extension here.

The operation was carried out by DCP BT Kavitha, ACP Gopal, Inspector HN Vinay, staffs Somashekar, Prasanna, Jeevan, Eeranna, KJ Divakar, Madhusudan and Suresh. (MR/KS)
