Seers concerned over spike in coronavirus cases

Prime News, Karnataka, Health, Disease, Mysuru, May 12:- The Sanths of Acharya Mahasabha have expressed their deep concern over the fast spread of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country, despite all efforts on a war-footing by the governments, organisations and medical fraternity to contain it.

In a virtual meeting of the Acharya Mahasabha on Wednesday (May 11), the participating Sanths expressed their anguish over widespread infection faster than the previous wave and appealed to all concerned to provide medical care to the infected and there is an urgent need, take all precautions to prevent further spread of pandemic by the governments. “In these times of difficulty, the people should conduct themselves responsibly by wearing face masks, maintaining distance, and sanitising themselves. People can find a way out by prayer, meditation, yoga and Pranayama under proper guidance. The media reporting on death, suffering, and pain has further frightened the people enormously, instead, it should instill confidence in the people with positivity by pointing out how many have won the battle against Covid by self-confidence, simple medication and obeying the protocols. People can prevent infection by being positive in their attitude, healthy lifestyle, and nutritious food.” Mahasabha has called for helping each other and assisting the government in its effort to control the pandemic.

The meeting was attended by Suttur seer Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji, Adichunchanagiri Swamiji, Swami Avadeshananda Giriji, Baba Ramdevji, Paramathmananda Saraswathiji, Acharya Krishnamani Maharaj,  Geethamanishi Swamiji, Madhwapriya Dasji, Pranav Pandeji, Bhai Ramesh Bhai Ojaji and Milam Bommapuram Adhinam Swamiji.
