Mysuru: Nanjangud MLA Harshavardhan has donated three new ambulances to hospitals to be used during an emergency situation.
Oxygen-equipped high-tech ambulance worth Rs 40 lakh was given to Nanjanagudu General Hospital, another ambulance worth Rs 30 lakh was arranged from MLA Development Fund and the third ambulance worth Rs 23 lakh was donated by Mold-Tek Packaging Ltd.
One ambulance is available in Government Hospital and another two ambulances are available in Tagaduru and Hulalli Grama which was received by district Health officer and Nanjangud Health officers Dr Prasad and Dr Eshwar and Dr Suresh. Harshavardhan symbolically drove them to mark the inauguration. He also donated medicines worth Rs 30 lakh to the government hospital.
Harshavardhan said, “We all faced life and death issues during the second wave of Covid 19. We faced a shortage of ambulances and medicines. With the help of health officers, we now have three new ambulances to be used during an emergency situation. (AM/SH)
