3,604 fresh COVID-19 cases, 89 deaths in Karnataka

Prime News, Karnataka, Health, Disease, Bengaluru, June 27:- Karnatraka on Sunday (June 27) reported declining number of covornavirus cases as it registered 3,604 new infections taking its tally of cumulative caseload to 28,34,630.

According to health department bulletin, the active cases in the state stand at 1,01,042. Bengaluru Urban’s single-day tally has come down to 788 new cases, but is still the highest among all districts.

As many as 89 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Sunday, with Mysuru and Dakshina Kannada each recording 15 deaths and Bengaluru Urban and Ballari 11 and 8 respectively. With this, the toll so far has risen to 34,743.

The state recorded 7,699 discharges from hospitals, taking the total discharges so far to 26,98,822.

The positivity rate for the day has dropped to 2.18 percent, while the case fatality rate for the day is 2.46 percent. (NAV, Inputs: Agencies)
