Mysuru, May 10:- “In order to curb unnecessary expenditures, government should make simple marriages mandatory,” said writer, doctor, Dr S P Yoganna.
He was addressing at a simple marriage organised at Govardhan hotel on the occasion of Buddha Poornima by Rajya Okkaligara Vikasa Vedike on Wednesday.
“Marriages have become lavish affairs. It is a welcome move if the government thinks of considering making simple marriages mandatory,” he added.
H M Harish and H S Abhilasha got married on the occasion.
