3rd Arogya Mysuru free health camp held

Mysuru, January 28:- 3rd Arogya Mysuru health camp, with the ‘War Against Cancer’ (WAC)  was held at Sri Nataraja Educational Institutions, Shankara Mutt here on Sunday.

Surgeons from more than 20 hospitals, PG students and staff took part in the health camp. More than 1,473 patients from Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Ward number 49, 50 and 51 took part in the initiative.

About 320 people underwent heart check-up, 67 regarding skin problems, 458 regarding diabetes, 78 regarding ENT, 70 regarding surgeries, 259 regarding general medicine, 165 regarding ECG, 326 for blood check-up, 89 patients for Ayurvedic treatment, 30 regarding yoga, 56 regarding cancer, 136 regarding orthopedic, 81 regarding eye problems, 31 for TB participated in the camp. The patients were provided with the required medication.

Sri Shankara Cancer Hospital of Bengaluru has sent a fully equipped bus for the treatment. Annapurna Eye Hospital provided glasses to the needy. Dr Karthik Pandit, Dr Geetha, Dr Jayadev were felicitated.

Krishnaraja Constituency MLA S A Ramadass, corporator B V Manjunath, Sowmya Umesh, Prashanth of Safe Wheels, Dr Lakshminarayana Shenoy, and others were present. (MR/SH)
