Mysuru, July 1:- Deputy Commissioner D Randeep visited KR Hospital and Cheluvamba Hospital on Saturday morning to inspect facilities following suspected dengue cases.
He sought information on the number of patients being admitted to the hospital. A doctor said that children aged between 7 and 8 years have been admitted more in number due to suspected dengue fever. “Most of them lack white blood cells. They are being treated at the hospital.”
Speaking after the inspection rounds, the DC said, “All the patients admitted at the KR Hospital were not from the city. There are many patients who have come from K R Pet, Hunsur, Mandya and other places. Some have died at the hospital, which has spread rumours that dengue cases are more in Mysuru. Action will be taken to provide more beds in the hospital.”
Dr Chandrasekhar, Krishnamurthy, Ravishankar, Savita, Bhagirathi, Anuradha were present during the inspection rounds.
