Mysuru, December 14:- GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women, Mysuru, organised 4th International Conference on Electrical, Electronics, Communication, Computer Technologies and Optimisation Techniques (ICEECCOT-2019) in association with IEEE Bengaluru section. The conference was held on December 13 and 14.
Dr Sudhakar Rao, Technical Fellow, Research Technology and Engineering Division, Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems, USA, who was the chief guest at the inaugural function, emphasised the importance of engineering innovation and said that innovation comes with a lot of knowledge, experience and hard work. “Innovation should not be an extension rather it should focus towards the right direction.”
He also lauded GSSSIETW for being the first premier women engineering college in the state and also appreciated the efforts of GSSSIETW for organising this conference for the fourth time.
Prof Silvia Liberata Ullo, professor, Engineering Department, University of Sannio, Italy, the guest of honour, called upon the students to upgrade themselves to the recent technologies in all fields of engineering. She also highlighted that India has produced more number of engineering graduates by providing valuable education over the years.
The inaugural function was be presided by Vanaja B Pandit, secretary, GSSS, Mysuru; R. K Bharath, Management Committee member and CEO GSSS; Anupama B Pandit, administrative officer, GSSSIETW; Managing Committee members, Dr Shivakumar M, principal, GSSSIETW; publication chair Dr Parameshachari B D, professor and head, Department of TCE and organizing chair Dr Reshma Banu, professor and head, Department of ISE, HoDs of all the departments were present.
ICEECCOT-2019 has received scholarly submissions from all over the and also from premier institutions like IITs and NITs in India with session chairs from various parts of Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. This conference offered a platform for researchers and engineers from different backgrounds to present and discuss their latest research ideas. The proceedings of the conference will be published in IEEE Xplore Digital Library. (MR)
