About 50,000 job aspirants from across the state are expected to attend ‘Udyoga Mela’ (Job Fair), scheduled to be held on June 2 and 3 at Maharaja College Grounds between 10 am and 6 pm. The 17th Udyoga Mela being organised by Jana Spandana Trust, Mysuru.
Addressing media persons here on Thursday, MLA M K Somashekar said that about 15,000 candidates have already registered their names with web portal myskillpage.com, and more than 50,000 job seekers are expected to attend the Udyoga Mela. To facilitate job aspirants, spot registrations arrangements have also been made for free walk-in interviews, he added.
About 200 leading companies including MNCs like Infosys, Mindtree, Eveready industries, Airtel, Kaynes Technologies, Aviva Life Insurance, Reliance Life Insurance, Eureka Forbes, ICIC Bank, Kotak nank, Columbia Asia Hospital, JK Tyres, TVS, Glowtronics, Automotive Axles, Rane Madras and others from various sectors will select candidates for suitable jobs. Candidates who have completed SSLC, PUC, ITI, Diploma, Degree, engineering graduates may avail the opportunity, Somashekar said.
Jana Spandana Trust in association with My Skill Page and Karnataka Vocational Training and Skill Development Corporation will conduct the ‘Udyoga Mela’ for unemployed youth both, boys and girls, on July 2 and 3 between 10 am and 6 pm at the Maharaja College Ground in city, said the MLA.
