“Cooperative field represents all the aspects of the society including economic activities, marketing, uniting and progress. Cooperative activities include all the progressive activities for the development of the society,” said K M Nagaraju, former deputy director of cooperative societies.
He was delivering a special lecture at the inaugural ceremony of the 63rd All India Cooperation week at Sahakara Bhavan, Mysuru.
“Several societies under the employees’ ownership have achieved a great success in their fields. We have to learn from the small co-operative works that have been success stories,” he said.
Prior to the inaugural ceremony, H V Rajeev, president of the Mysuru District Co-Operative Union, hoisted the co-operative flag at the premises of Sahakara Bhavan.
S Madegowda, president of state fisheries co-operative union, M Krishnaiah, President of Karnataka state lamps co-operative union, Mysuru, K G Mahesh, president, Mysuru district co-operative dairy, Dr Bruhadamba, president, Mysuru district women’s co-operative bank and others were present.
