Mysuru, April 16:- “80 per cent votes of the Brahmins’ community will be for Congress-Janata Dal (Secular) coalition in the state,” said Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Dinesh Gundu Rao.
He visited the residence of Brahmin leader Dr G Ravi at Bogadi in the city on Monday and held discussion with him on various issues including the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
“The state government has introduced several programmes for the welfare of the community. Brahmins’ community will vote for Congress-JD(S) this time. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is trying to woo the community to vote for them, which will not come true. In the first phase of Lok Sabha elections, we will win 11-12 out of 14. R Dhruvanarayan and C H Vijayashankar will certainly win from Chamarajanagar and Mysuru-Kodagu Constituencies,” he added.
Congress city president R Murthy, Brahmins’ community leaders Dr B R Nataraja Jois, Raghuram and others were present. (KS, NGB)
