815 polling booths ready for polls tomorrow: MCC Commissioner

Mysuru, August 30:- “Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) has made preparations for the city corporation elections tomorrow. 815 polling booths have been set up. 815 ballot units and control units will be used,” said MCC Commissioner K H Jagadeesh here on Wednesday.

He was addressing a press meet at MCC premises here.

“3,586 staff will be used for the elections. Around 7,98,107 voters will cast their votes. Around 4,01,113 women and 3,96,896 men are voting in the election. Mustering and de-mustering will be done at Teresian College, Maharaja College, Maharani College and Maharani College of Commerce and Management for Women on Valmiki Road at Paduvarahalli. Counting of votes will be held on September 3. Each booth will have one PRO, one APRO and two booth workers. A control room will be opened to solve any confusion over ward re-distribution.
