Mysuru, May 16:- Alumnae Association of GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (GSSSIETW), Mysuru, organised a 6th Alumnae meet recently.
The programme was graced by Shanthi G, Deputy Director, Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Rural Energy and Development, Bengaluru, alumnae of 2010 batch.
Shanthi, an alumna of GSSSIETW, is a national level certified trainer of Solar Energy Technology in particular solar rooftop systems for utility engineers of the country. She is also recognised by National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), Skill council for Green Jobs (SCGJ), Gujarat Energy Research and Management Institute (GERMI) for her valuable work in rural energy development. She conducts training on renewable energy resources across India. She had written a book chapter on CAN-based control unit for Microgrid architecture with Renewable Energy Sources – “Smart Grid Management with Electric Vehicle Integration- An ICT Approach.” She inspired many budding engineers through her talk. She shared her memories with future alumnae’s and brief about the importance to take up challenges in society and serve the nation. Archana B, alumnae secretary, shared the information regarding the achievements and progress of the institution in the last one year.
Dr M Shivakumar, principal, GSSSIETW, Mysuru, informed the students regarding the incubation centre of GSSSIETW and suggested the alumnae to take up this platform to come up with their entrepreneur skill to start up their own business through incubation centre available at the premises.
R K Bharath, member and CEO, GSSS, delivered the presidential address to the alumnae’s and future alumnae’s to contribute and utilise the opportunity to come up with new ideas and to start up something good work through alumnae association of GSSSIETW.
