“To solve any problem related to legal issues a police will be employed in every village as per the order of superintendent of police, Ravi D Channannavar,” said South rural police inspector Jayaprakash.
He was talking after visiting Hanchya village according to the order of the SP. “SP has employed a police to every village and they will visit the village once in every week. They will take action against gambling, illegal liquor sales, and other activities,” he said.
“A notice board having information regarding the duties of the village police will be set up. Public are also a part of the police service and they should co-operate with us,” he added.
Villagers objected the decision of the City Council to have a pig farming centre in Hanchya village. As it harms the environment of the village it should not be permitted, the villagers urged. They also complained against illegal fishing in the lake.
Sub Inspector Jayaprakash, circle Inspector Gopala Krishna, Prasad, constable Lingaraju, taluk panchayat member Thammegowda, village panchayat president Kumaraswamy, members Manju, Basavaraju, Chennaiah, Jayanna, SDMC President Swamygowda and others were present.
