Mysuru, January 4:- A land surveyor has been caught red-handed while accepting a bribe at the taluk office in Mysuru by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Police.
The accused identified as Hanumantharayappa, a land surveyor, was trapped by the ACB sleuths while accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000. The surveyor had demanded cash from a person to clear the papers related to ‘podi’ land (bifurcating land pertaining to right owner and approving Phahani/Khata to the parties).
ACB Police is further questioning Hanumantharayappa to elicit more information. (NGB, KS)+
