Mysuru, December 7:- A bizarre incident took place in the Mysuru district Court on Thursday. A rape accused, who was supposed to be present in the court, was absent. The court was supposed to give its final verdict but had to postpone it as the accused failed to turn up for the proceedings.
The accused, K J Mahesh Gowda, former district president of BSR Congress, gave it a skip. Judge Vijay Kumar ordered for his arrest when he got to know about the crime he had committed. Though he has been asked to attend the court, Gowda has been deliberately skipping the hearings. The court has said that the final verdict will be given on December 11. (MR/KS).
