Bribe allegations at Mysuru’s Mini Vidhana Soudha: Action sought against lethargic operators and officials

Mysuru, June 15:- Former president of Bhovi Community Development Board B V Seetharam has urged the government to take action against the operators and officials of Mini Vidhana Soudha who are not issuing caste certificates to Bhovi, Korama, Banjara and Lambani community members.

He was speaking at a press meet held at Mysuru Press Club on Monday (June 15).

“Ramesh Babu of Tavarekatte and Sundar Raj of Belavatta village had asked for caste certificate at Janasnehi Centre on June 1. But the operators Abhi and Sunil rejected their applications and their castes were removed from the system, saying they belong to general category. Deputy Tahsildar and Village Accountant Bhaskar have said that Bhovi, Korama, Banjara, Lambani and other castes have been removed as told by the central government. They are giving mental torture to the people who go for seeking caste certificate. Though there are no instructions from the Tahsildar, these operators are troubling public for more money. Their activities should be probed,” he said.
