Activism with social concerns are missing these days: AH Vishwanath

Mysuru, November 4:- “Activisms with social concerns are not taking place these days. The positive outcomes and results of those activisms are also reducing,” said former minister AH Vishwanath.

He was speaking at the condolence meeting for pourakarmika Babu and Beltur Mahadev at Dr BR Ambedkar Bhavan in Hunsur town on Sunday.

“There have been movements in food and shelter. Dr B R Ambedkar taught us the life of self-reliance. Indira Gandhi, D Devaraja Urs provided food for the deprived,” he added.

“Dalit organisations and other organisations have to work for the economic welfare of the poor. Activism is required for political power. I announce a compensation of Rs 50,000 each to the families of the two deceased,” he said.

D Kumar, Bhimanahalli Mahadev, J Mahadev, Sainath and others were present. (MR/KS)
