Activists attempt to perform Go pooja in front of CM’s residence, arrested

Mysuru, June 6:- The members of Bharath Seva Sena, who tried to perform Go pooja in front of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s residence at Ramakrishnanagar, here were arrested by the police.  The arrested were taken to D R Grounds.

Saraswathipuram Police Inspector Poovaiah and his staff have handed over the cow to its owner.

Speaking on the occasion, Chethan Manjunath of Bharath Seva Sena said “The decision of the central government to ban cow slaughter has come as relief for the majority of Indians. But Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has opposed the ban. To protest his stand, we will perform Go (cow) pooja in front of his residence.”
