Students must build a relationship with nature and protect environment, said film actor and director Prakash Raj.
He was delivering the valedictory address at the Inter- Demonstration Schools’ Meet (INDEM)-2016, organised in the city on Tuesday.
He said “People are less connected to nature today due to which the situation has arisen to fight for protection of rivers and drinking water. It is high-time the younger generation and the students took an initiative to build a bond with the nature and come forward to protect mother environment.”
The 21st INDEM-2016 which was commenced on December 10 concluded on Tuesday. Prakash Raj also distributed prizes and certificates to winners in various competitions held as part of the meet.
As part of the three day INDEM various programmes including sports, literary events, cultural events, field trips, workshop on Ganjeefa Art and Mysuru painting were organised.
Head Mistress of Demonstration School Dr Kalpana Venugopal, co-ordinator Dr Somashekar, former Rangayna director Janardhan and others were present.
