Mysuru, March 4:- Popular Kannada actress Amulya inaugurated hearing test camp of newborns at Cheluvamba Hospital in the city as part of World Hearing Day on Tuesday.
The actress, who is also an ambassador for hearing problems awareness campaign, said that the technology has improved so much that the hearing problems in babies can be identified as soon as they born. She asked parents to get the hearing tests done for the children to get the problems solved.
Otoacoustic emission (OAE) screening test for newborns was held till evening. More than 10 newborns underwent hearing screening. The screening was organised in association with 15 hospitals in the city. (HR/KS)
