Mysuru, May 16:- Assistant Director General of Police (Crime) of Karnataka Dr MA Saleem instructed the police officials to control increasing criminal activities in the Southern Range.
He held a crime review meeting of Mandya, Kodagu, Chamarajanagar and Hassan districts.
Dr Saleem collected information regarding increasing chain snatching incidents in Mysuru. He asked the police about the action they have taken to control it. The meeting also discussed about the gang-rape incident in Mysuru. He also asked the police about the double murder, house robbery and other pending cases in the city.
The ADGP asked police to take all the possible actions to prevent crime and atrocities on women and children and to identify the reason behind increase in such cases.
IGP Umesh Kumar, Commissioner of Police KT Balakrishna, Chamarajanagar SP Dharmendra Kumar Meena, Hassan SP Chetan Singh, Kodagu SP Suman D Pennekar, Mandya SP Shivaprakash, ASP of Mysuru Sneha and others were present. (KS, NGB)
