Mysuru, July 27:- A state-level advocacy workshop on ‘Minimum Support Price (MSP) for Minor Forest Produce (MFP)’ was held at the Administrative Training Institute (ATI) on Chamundi Hill Road in the city on Friday.
Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED) in association with the Karnataka State Lamps Co-operative Federation organised the one-day workshop to throw light on MSF for MFP and Van Dhan Scheme.
E Venkataiah, Advisor for Social Welfare Department, Government of Karnataka; K Revanappa, Director Tribal Welfare; E Raghavesh, Dr Umesh, Managing Director, Karnataka State Lamps Co-operative Federation; Muddaiah, President of Karnataka State Lamps Co-operative Federation, Mysuru and others were present.
On the occasion a discussion on ‘Mechanism for Marketing of Minor Forest Produce through Minimum Support Price and development of value chain for MFP and implementation steps were discussed. –(HN, KK)
